Terms & Conitions

  • This grant must be used within 60 days of issuance and can be canceled at any time by issuer

  • The grant funds are not a loan and will not need to be paid back at any time

  • Settlement agent to submit requirements as outlined on American Built Communities “Preclosing Instructions” not less than 10 days prior to closing.

  • Prior to funding, Settlement agent to provide copies for review and prior approval by American Build Communities:
    Executed final settlement statement

  • Signed Lender’s first mortgage documents including Occupancy Affidavit

  • Written authorization from American Built Communities prior to disbursing any Grant funds.

At American Built Communities, we are committed to helping hardworking individuals and families achieve the dream of homeownership. Our $5,000 grant program—funded through key HUD (Department of Housing and Urban Development) initiatives—has helped low- to moderate-income families overcome financial barriers like down payments and closing costs.

Due to recent policy changes under the new administration, several HUD programs that supported this grant have been discontinued. As a result, our $5,000 grants are no longer available at this time.

We understand how impactful this change is for the families we serve. We are actively seeking alternative funding sources to continue this important work and remain dedicated to our mission.
